Evidence-based therapy is just what it sounds like. Therapy for which there is scientific evidence to support its effectiveness. This does not mean, however, that we support and administer cold, manualized forms of psychotherapy. We don’t plug you into some pre-existing program or structure. Our therapy is deeply personal and structured exactly to each person we meet, while at the same time informed by science and research.
In our group, we keep up with the latest developments in the field and engage in best practices. All of this is seamlessly integrated into our therapeutic approach and style. We rely on Psychodynamic (PD), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) as primary orientations. Our approach is also informed by Attachment Theory and the leading edge of science-backed trauma therapies like EMDR and Mindfulness-Centered treatments.
Each of our psychologists at Keil Psych Group has unique strengths in one or more of these modalities. A good clinical fit lies at the intersection of personal connection, treatment approach, and collaboration of goals.
